Dayward stores the goals you create so they are on every device you sign in on. That is the whole reason it holds any data at all.
The short version. Your goals and entries are yours. They are not sold, not shared with anyone, not used to train anything, and not shown to advertisers — because there are no advertisers. There is no analytics SDK, no tracking pixel and no third-party telemetry in this app.
Only what the app needs to work. Nothing is gathered in the background.
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you create an account or sign in with Google | To identify your account and let you sign in again |
| Display name and profile photo | Only if you sign in with Google | Shown to you in the app's sidebar. Never published anywhere |
| Your goals | When you create or edit one | Title, optional description, type, icon, target and starting values, unit, start and target dates, schedule, checklist steps, status and your chosen reminder time |
| Your entries | Each time you log progress | The goal, the date, the amount and an optional note |
| Your preferences | When you change a setting | Theme, first day of the week, how same-day entries combine, high-contrast patterns, haptics, and whether reminders are on |
| Feedback you send | Only when you use the Feedback screen | Your message, your account id, your email so a reply is possible, and which platform you were on |
In Google Firebase — Firebase Authentication for sign-in, and Cloud Firestore for your goals and entries. Google acts as the data processor and runs the servers; the data belongs to you.
Everything is stored under your own account id and the security rules deny any read or write from another account. Feedback is the one exception: it is written to a separate area that only the developer can read, and that even you cannot read back.
Signing out or uninstalling clears the local copy.
Nobody. The only third party involved is Google, as the provider of Firebase and of Google Sign-In, and only to the extent needed to store your data and sign you in.
Your data is not sold, rented, or given to advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies.
Settings → Export writes every goal and entry to a plain JSON file you can read, keep, or import elsewhere. Nothing is withheld from the export.
Settings → Delete all data permanently removes every goal and entry from your account. It cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.
Two things that delete does not do, stated plainly because they would otherwise be a surprise:
To have your account and any feedback removed entirely, email Krishtasood@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, and it will be deleted.
Your goals and entries are kept until you delete them or ask for the account to be removed. There is no automatic expiry — a goal from two years ago is still your record of it.
All traffic between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access is enforced by server-side security rules, not just by the app: even a modified copy of the app cannot read another person's data.
Passwords are handled entirely by Firebase Authentication and are never seen or stored by Dayward.
Dayward is not directed at children under 13 and is not intended for them. No account should be created by a child under 13. If you believe one has been, contact Krishtasood@gmail.com and it will be removed.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, and to object to its processing. The export and delete controls above cover access, portability and erasure directly; for anything else, email Krishtasood@gmail.com.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who it is shared with, the date at the top will change and the app will say so before the change applies to you.
